Injuries at LB/CB and up front we are knackered

However, up to now only the loss of Oviedo could be counted as genuinely leaving us anything close to being weaker with regards to competition.

Hopefully, even more so if Koné departs as well, there'll be extra capital which Koeman will invest in one or two more valuable additions.

We've let 11 players go and brough in 3.

Counter-balance what those 11 add/added to the squad to what the 3 we've brought in do.

We need a striker and a back-up CB.

Even after that there is still some pruning that can be done:

After that, we still have a competitive first team squad! Amazing.

We could do with a few more, but Koeman has stressed throughout this window, it's quality - not quantity - he's after.

We're not struggling at the moment but a few injuries outside of the center midfield positions and we could be looking like we were playing in November sooner than you think.

I agree with quality over quantity. I think if we continue with this formation that we could possibly do better than Mirallas or Valencia partnering Rom.

I have no idea if there is any possibility of Wayne coming back to us, but anyone who honestly feels he wouldn't add and improve our team really needs a reality check. The lad is and has always been an Evertonian to add. Yes his age and all round play isn't what it was 5_8 years ago, bit with all these amazing youngsters breaking through and being purchased, how can anybody not recognise the confidence and experience he will add to the first team and there development!!? I understood the financial issues, but this is down to the club to have and I for one have every confidence that they will only do this if it works. For me if this is a possiblity, it's a no brainier! Imagine how it will also raise our profile around the world - Wayne Rooney goes home!!!! I can hear the chink chink of sponsors already.................

We've all been here before ... day or two before window players are heavily linked to us coming in ... various sightings etc etc ... we watch Moshiris m8 / we are looking at Twitter / this forum crashes due to high volume of traffic and unfortunately it just fizzles out ... we read various reports of time running out etc etc . Will it be any different tomorrow ? Hope so ...
