Until the boss sorts other stuff out, which he will I am sure, then it is certainly an opportunity that hopefully we utilise. Just hope we dont spend a bundle on rubbish, cos we get obsessed with the situation.

Agreed mate. Rather not spend than spend on crap. Though I don't mind if we pay extra to get the right quality in. Crazy to think we were willing to pay 30m for Sissoko, frightening thought that!

I may have gone in too early there. Apparently he's half decent and some say he's a better prospect than that Odegaard lad at Madrid.

...but it also means we still have scope this transfer window to utilise the Stones monies from a fair play perspective. As per your post earlier, perhaps there might actually be a push to bring numbers in rather than 'waste' the credit we have.

There should be exactly that if we are truly trying to bridge the gap between us and spurs who are the next significantly higher wage team.

A work around on it is the loan system if we struggle to sign players as we've been told we did, loan wages would be factored in - meaning that when the loan ended Wed have a large room for permanent additions.

In many ways us paying exhorbitant wages on loan players long term would be worthwhilst rather than seeing it going to waste.

Rooney on loan springs to mind as something that would suit us on a financial level amongst other things, additionally expect if raising wages significantly is the goal, things like much higher wage percentages paid in Lew of loan fees etc.
