Yup, would love us to sign the real top players, but the level down is much more realistic an option, long as they are serious improvements on what we have then it moves us forward in the right direction, otherwise we face a repaet of the summer, chasing players with no interest or who we realistically wont be able to get.

Great point. It is imperative we get at least Europa league football again to try and raise our profile and attract a better calibre of player. As you correctly state, we at present are not an attractive proposition for top players, but signings like Gana still proves there is top talent available if scouted properly.
Between 120-130m, but we have to pay wages from that amount, cos we make nothing in most other areas.

Koeman will 100% already know if there is even a slight chance of getting VVD mate, they speak regularly and now share the same agent, to me just sounds like responding to questions asking about him, obvious that we are after another cb, so not even bothered about it, happier if he's making comments about a player we arent after and letting the one we are go under the radar
