Possibly, we don't know. But Di Marzio has not once mentioned Barcelona in any of these "negotiations". If they have waived their 12 million option, then obviously any potential buy fee with Milan will be less than 12 million. Not a chance Barcelona will agree to let us rip up that part of the contract, only for us to sell the player to Milan for substantially more.
You can bet your bottom dollar, Barcelona will be involved in any negotiations that involves us potentially selling the player. They can't just be ignored.
Di Marzio is very hit and miss as well, more miss than hit actually.
The way prices are inflated today, I'd personally be very disappointed if we agree a sale price with Milan for anything less than 12 million. What can you buy for that these days?
I would imagine the players agent would have been in contact with Barca saying a bid in the region of XYZ has been suggested, any problems your end?
