@Mikey_Fitzgerald - as for your two other shouts. VVD just isn't going to happen, and I do like Loftus-Cheek a lot, but think for January it needs to be a player or players who can make an immediate impact for the team.

I'd rather us spend big on a CB like Van Dijk though and then get in Lofus-Cheek for CM, as I think he's first team ready at the moment and just needs a manager who'll give him a chance

And you think.. KOEMAN is that man to 'give him a chance'?

His fellow countryman Gus Hiddink was prepared to give Loftus-Cheek a chance, so maybe that'll inspire Koeman to do similar?

I've been banging the Sandwich bandwagon for a while, and I think he'd do well here. I honestly think he could turn out for any Premier League side

No, I get that he'd probably do well, but, imo of course, Koeman is here through the end of the season to maybe 2 more. That's it. He's not here to make a mark with youth. Every target we had was either just about in the prime or well into it. I don't see him doing very much of 'this kid is going to be amazing in 3 years' when I sincerely doubt he will even be here and I think he knows it as well.
