Charlton reportedly reject £7 million offer for Ademola Lookman

Everton made an initial £7 million verbal offer for Charlton’s Ademola Lookman, which the Addicks have turned down, the Mirror reports.


Lookman is on a number of Premier League teams radars, including Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool. He’s a hot commodity and is said to be valued at £10 million by Charlton.

Everton director of football Steve Walsh loves what he sees in the under-20 England forward, but the Toffees now must decide whether he’s worth the asking price.

Lookman scored five goals for Charlton in an otherwise dismal season. The Addicks now ply their trade in League One after being relegated.

The speedy forward has scored five goals in 17 appearances for Charlton this season. He is the kind of player Premier League clubs will fight tooth and nail to obtain as the eventual suitor can mold the 19-year-old as they see fit.

....I think I saw a link with Borrusia Monchengladbach, not surprising given he played a blinder against Dortmund. I suspect we baulked at the price.
