Mertens is sex mate.

I remember watching him when he was at PSV. Wanted us to sign him then.

But, for the price they'd want, and the fact that he's their star-man atm and probably happy at one of Italy's biggest clubs, we'd probably be better off looking elsewhere, especially as he is nearing 30.

The way Mertens has been playing the last two years, signing him would be a great signal to the outside world that we mean business. Much more than a potential like Depaay.

That said, if you were Mertens and you played for a club like Napoli (still CL football this year, and 3rd at the moment) where the fans treat you as a god and where there's always sun and sea. Would you like to come to this rainy country to play for a club that is currently ranked 7th?
