Was thinking the other day, when was the last time he scored a free kick? Or anyone for that matter?

True that. In Martinez's first season we had Baines, Mirallas and Barkley scoring amazing freekicks.

Fast forward 12 months and they where trying to retrieve our freekick balls from the moon.

Lukaku on September 30th. Pretty standard amount of time to go without someone scoring from a free kick.

For some reason, Baines hardly takes any free kicks, while I would let Barcley and Miralas shoot at my bare arse

No doubt. Don't know if it's common knowledge but Koeman has said he likes to have two free kick specialists over the ball: one left footer, one right. Lukaku doesn't always come to mind when I think "free kick" he's more dangerous in the air usually. Baines can still take them for now but will he ever score from one again? Would love to see it but sometimes it looks doubtful. As for a right footer I guess I don't recall someone who consistently steps forward to take those.

Baines has only scored 6 free kick goals for us in a decade - less than you'd think (might be 7, feel like I'm missing one)

Plus he has never scored one at Goodison
