...I suspect we’ll bring in one, but I am concerned about Gbamin, those big muscle thigh injuries can hound a career as McCarthy and Delph well know.

Aye great in theory but doubt it will actually happen.
Like saying we need to sign our own top class front 3 to rival Liverpool - great in theory but its just fantasy talk in reality.
Cant see the club signing more than one midfielder when we are desperate for other positions and if we go for quality over quantity each position is going to cost a good whack.

We all want that but I just doubt the club will do it.
We all want Schneiderlin, Siggurdsson, Delph & Davies lashing in the bin - but its going to take more than one transfer window to do it.
In terms of THIS window - I'll be massively shocked if we bring in more than 1x CM when the DOF himself hates doing any business as it is in January.
In the summer another may come in depending on outgoings.

I agree, cant see us doing a lot this window, we certainly wont be fixing the whole squad in 1 window.

Depends how far Gbamin is off returning and how much of a risk Delph latest injury is. I would definitely want to bring a CB in even if it's just someone on loan as cover until end of season. If both of the above are better prognosis I would rather wait until the close season when things can be assessed properly. If worst case scenario we need to bring someone in. Ideally a player ready to play and not someone that needs bedding in. A left footed winger is the only other type of player I would consider buying. Striker can wait until summer.
Im not sure what your point is, Liverpools midfield only has 7 goals.
