With the exception of Digne, and maybe Mina, those players are largely average. The fact that average players are who we are cool with is part of the problem.

It's funny as I popped in another thread that that Chirevella put in the sort of performance on Sunday very few of our midfielders can do. he was mobile, had awareness of what was around him and used the ball well. Essentially just kept the game ticking over. Essentially the ability to control the ball, get your head up and pass the ball forward to a teammate. It's a fairly bog standard skill but I'm not sure any of our players really want to do that.

Easy when you have the freedom of the park. He looked like Xavi on Sunday. Few of my red mates talked about him before and said he was nothing special and shocked how well he looked Sunday.
Might bring my own boots Saturday after watching our midfield 2 !!
