"Where are all the golden eggs after those beans led to that giant's house in the clouds Farhad my darling?"Hopefully we don’t spend a fiver, we can’t be trusted, Marcel will have a pile of magic beans playing centre half.
If we had a player who could score goals against the bottom teams we'd be up to 9 points better off. That's an improvement on what we have.As I said before, of Neres’s 6 goals 5 were in 4 games against the bottom 5 of the league, the only other goal was in the 4-0 rout of Feyenoord. So from those stats you can piece together that he is a player that can get into position to take the shots and puts a fair amount on target but doesn’t score as frequently as others on the team. Also that he passes less and is less likely to play the dangerous ball.
This means we will get another head down dribbler on the wing, that wont score often and takes shots that my grandma could hit harder with her purse, or turns and plays the ball back to the fullbacks.
Pass.
Ziyech has all that in bags. He’s quick both physically and mentally and every game I’ve seen him play he runs himself into the ground by the 90th minute but unlike Bernard or Walcott he’s got 90+ in his legs while only missing a handful of games over the past 2 seasons
Is it too early to punt Fabian Delph back out of the door he just came in?
That's only true if you don't count the CL for anything. He's carved up plenty of decent sides now including Chelsea which is easily the third best in the PL this season. But unlike Walcott and Bernard hes unproven outside the Dutch league.
And that is exactly who we should be buying in January. All our money if we have some on a proven striker. If we had a player who could score goals against the bottom teams we'd be up to 9 points better off. That's an improvement on what we have.
It's the player we should have been buying for every transfer window since Lukaku started to get itchy feet. And that is exactly who we should be buying in January. All our money if we have some on a proven striker.
I think we are looking for goals in general budIf we had a player who could score goals against the bottom teams we'd be up to 9 points better off. That's an improvement on what we have.
Unfortunately that's true.I think we are looking for goals in general bud
Honestly I think Silva’s biggest crime this season is not playing Kean at ST regularly. He could be the most talented player the club sees in a decade and he can’t even get minutes.Unfortunately that's true.
Kean needs minutes. How will he settle into the league if he never plays. I hope he gets a chance soon and proves his worth. We have 4 strikers in DCL, Kean, Tosun and Niasse. Tosun I don't believe will make it, Niasse is chaos and to be thrown on as a last roll of the dice. DCL will take time to come good - that's a gamble and we don't have the time to wait as we need someone now. Kean is the unknown - he could be great or awful but he needs a shot. Either way, need a striker.Honestly I think Silva’s biggest crime this season is not playing Kean at ST regularly. He could be the most talented player the club sees in a decade and he can’t even get minutes.
I know the rant is misplaced in this thread but while on the topic...
