Ziyech will do a Klassen...wouldnt suit the league.

Barbosa hasnt flopped in the prem...its a huge difference to Italian football...

Neres is not an underperformer at all...thats just daft.

Ziyech and Klaasen are also completely different players. Ziyech is more comparable as a player to Eriksen than Klaasen. Donny Van Dr Beek is more of a Klaasen type but even he has more mobility than Klaasen.

Pienaar was £2m, Arteta was £2.5m, Cahill was like £1.5m, right? Unreal how good our dealings were back then. Makes you wonder if it could have worked with more money. I know Moyes was keen on Hazard and Essien but I think we didn't have the funds?

Peinaar was a failure (at Dortmund?), Arteta had failed where he was... Tim Howard had failed... Cahill knew we were his big move.

You can even see Digne, Gomes & Mina - all got the big move, all failed to make that grade.

I don't think there's much chance of any big-money signings coming, so I'd definitely take a look at Petagna from SPAL. I've liked him ever since he played at Goodison with Atalanta.

It’s crazy to think we got Pienaar, Arteta and Cahill for less than £10m combined.

We don't look at the Championship enough these days. Looking at squad players from CL teams is ok in theory but there's often a reason why they aren't playing and they lack that hunger and desire because they are stepping down to play for us not stepping up.

2) do they have quick thinking?
3) hard workers?

Ziyech has all that in bags. He’s quick both physically and mentally and every game I’ve seen him play he runs himself into the ground by the 90th minute but unlike Bernard or Walcott he’s got 90+ in his legs while only missing a handful of games over the past 2 seasons

And your point?

As I said before, of Neres’s 6 goals 5 were in 4 games against the bottom 5 of the league, the only other goal was in the 4-0 rout of Feyenoord. So from those stats you can piece together that he is a player that can get into position to take the shots and puts a fair amount on target but doesn’t score as frequently as others on the team. Also that he passes less and is less likely to play the dangerous ball.

This means we will get another head down dribbler on the wing, that wont score often and takes shots that my grandma could hit harder with her purse, or turns and plays the ball back to the fullbacks.
