Not true we could’ve signed Cornet from Burnley instead or Sarr or chukwueze. I know there’s more but yea this is the point.

We’re looking less attractive now and to think kudus would come now is insanity.
No one wanted to pay the release clause for Cornet until West Ham got really desperate, note he’s not scored in 11 appearances in all competitions for them

Sarr was too much a gamble to pay upfront, Watford wouldn’t take a smaller initial fee

Chukwueze would have been good but there was no links to him until very late in the window and would have took a big fee to prise him away that late

….obviously, but he can still contribute to our demise. It would be folly to loan him to a rival. Imagine if they stay up & send him back to us next season.
I think the balance of probability is that he’ll tumble over an aimless punt down the middle, try and turn whilst resembling a broken tug boat and sit looking gormless whilst someone like Chris Woods pops it round the goalie. Loaning or selling him to a ‘rival’ would be a Blackadderesque cunning plan.

From all the journalists that cover us closely it seems accepted by Lampard and Thelwell that we need two attacking players.

However the worrying thing is that all of those journalists seem to suggest that zero offers or enquiries have been made as of yet.

As such, it seems almost certain we won’t have anyone in until Southampton or West Ham.

For once those in the club need to realise that if we get players in early and all they do is contribute to wins over Southampton and West Ham then that 6 points alone could be crucial because we then have Arsenal and Liverpool. Without additions we could be faced with a very real prospect of not winning another game until the middle or end of February

They aren't going to leak who we are speaking to until it's further down the line are they?

I think the sole reason McNeil was brought in was to put the ball on the plate for Dom to eat up ( not to be a a Richy replacement ). As well as being young with his career still in front of him, the lad also has a pretty sweet left peg on him. which as has already been mentioned we've already seen the benefits that can bring....
What we haven't seen is a nice run of games with a fit Dom on the pitch, So how can he feed the lad...

( Unless he puts it on the treatment table )

Oh no, I wouldnt expect a leak but if the journos are getting info you would think they would say, "we are speaking to people and preparing/making bids".

At the very least that would make clubs think "well if Everton are making bids and we havent received one, maybe they arent interested in our player after all".
