Maybe the Coventry Swede striker that’s it. Then you look at this squad what can we expect?

Hardly anything out wide. Gray and McNeill will probably go back to being a starter which isn't going to be pretty watch given his mediocre final season.

What else is there beyond that? No clue on Townsend but he's coming off a year injured so can't expect anything at all if he's fit soon and then you're in the terrority of possibly playing Iwobi or Doucoure out wide with all those limitations.

If Dyche is going 4-4-2 straight away (5-3-2 surely better for next two games) there is a real lack of options and will just mean Maupay and McNeill starting every week which dosen't feel very inspiring to me to get some shock points.

Iwobi will be shifted out wide again I imagine.

To sign these type of player we deserve relegation.
It depends because we have a full back issue, but we also have very limited funds. He could be an option which wouldn’t set us back much money and at least provide something different. We aren’t in a position to sign quality players in all the bad areas atm, if we get a good striker I can’t see an above average full back joining too

He’d do a job for us like, short term
There honestly isn't a bad enough player, in all of world football, where someone on this forum wouldn't say "he could do a job for us". Just on this thread today we've had people seemingly happy about Ryan Fraser, Che Adams and now Ryan Bertrand.

For the record, he'd be mince.

Yep. He was decent at Southampton then Leicester signed him in summer 2021. 4 games later and can't recall the last time they actually named him in a premier league matchday squad.

Saw last year with Ali and Van De Beek it's not really a good idea to sign players who haven't played in months and throw them straight into high intensity relegation battle matches.

Rephrase; we sold a player £40m and potentially had some cash from the summer.

That does mean we’re spending it when we have other financial concerns
We spent the richalison money tho, if we did get this Gordon money and wasted it that’s 100 mill spent to make the team go worse , quite a feat
