We can’t go and spend 20m on this fella from Coventry. We have just let an English winger who is recognised as being one of the best young talents leave for 40M. We should be saying to Coventry. He’s 10million rising to 15m, that’s it. Take it or leave it.

Recognised by who, exactly? Even when he was good for us he wasn't 40m good.

And not sure what selling Gordon has to do with buying gyokeres anyway. If we turn Gordon into 3 signings that can contribute we've done well this window. I know we might not achieve that, but that is surely the thinking behind Gordon's sale. Gordon was having a negative impact on the team, so for me it's a no brainer. Let somebody else gamble on him.

Imagine someone told you after Palace last season, that we would sell Richarlison and Gordon by Jan next year, not replace them and we should be all right - would be bananas - yet here we are.
Exactly . To do what we’ve done ere let r best players go and not replace them is just ridiculous how could they think it would ever go any different than where we are now ,it’s infuriating

It looks like yet another big money sale without a replacement lined up. As said many many times, this does not happen at an organised, well ran, competent, long standing top flight club.
Why do you think there wasn’t a player or two lined up?
The money has just cleared in our account for Gordon, Dyche has been working for two days with Thelwell - I’d rather they were aligned and waited an extra day to get the player that best impacts their system than have signed that Aston Villa winger on loan again who Frank never played and sat on our bench for no reason.

Isn't it bananas when you put it that way mate - what's worse is there a group of individuals being payed millions to sit around a table to make those decisions.

Lol
No it doesn’t at all
We will get players in ffs
Actually *at the minute* it’s exactly what it looks like. That may change tomorrow or later on but right now it’s one ‘verbal bid’ and very little else. There’s absolutely no need to go on at people who quite rightly are not positive- there’s almost nothing tangible to be positive about. If anything, the blind optimism is much more unfounded than people moaning with reason.

Unreal isn’t it that’s why things are as bad as they are because it’s not like where a decent team who are struggling it’s the years off mismanagement all coming to a head

It was a no brainer but it will only work if we use that money properly, we have a manager who plays a traditional 442 and we have one winger. And that winger is Dwight McNeill.
