Aren’t Watford effectively doing the same thing if they’re asking for 35 million?
They’ve upped it from the summer because they’re in a strong position for promotion, they wouldn’t do a staged payment deal with us in the summer so we or anyone else have to pay now or not get him

En Nasyri , Morocco, 3' off the deck heads a goal v Portugal.
Aint we got scouts around Europe.Where is Thelwell, pretty special , plays in Seria A.
Go get the bloody Morocco manager while there at it.
They play footy i wanna watch at Goodison, Bramely Moore.

They invite the high press, break out with great skill, togetherness, dangerous attacking ability.

Plays in Spain.

That's a really good point, and one I'm not dismissing in the slightest. Nevertheless, I think someone with a semblance of reasoning know about the odds.

Over the past two decades, how many of our youth players have ever cut the mustard, so to speak? And that's talking about who've secured a place in the squad.

If you're talking about those who've made the first team XI and looked like they're deserving of being there, we're talking about a handful of players - at most.

That doesn't mean we should write off all players and you'd hope (dream) that we'd get a good generation at some point, but the chances are very slight.

I'd want the likes of Cannon and Dobbin to make it, however it does baffle me when you hear the shouts of, 'Get the young lads up front' etc. peddled regularly.

If they were genuinely good enough and/or ready, why wouldn't the manager and coaches do it? The simple (and logical) reason is that they're not ready.

I am nowhere near an expert nor have I watched the amount of youth games as others will have, however from what I've seen I surmise one (at most) will make it.

Right now, our youth system ain't the best in terms of outcomes, even though it's held in relatively high regard. The RS's is even worse from what I know.

Most academies have the same hit rate as us in the PL, maybe even everyone bar Chelsea are at the same level, but it's just a generalisation. Just because we haven't produced first team regulars aplenty, we still have some lately, and it doesn't mean we won't soon. Not suggesting our U18's and U21's are full of them but baffles me to just think they can't possibly have any because since Barkley we've only really had Davies and Gordon. It only takes one batch.

Thought they said Ser A , but realised it is La Liga, could score.
Maybe its the quality of service, team ,crap.
Well if we sign him hell flippin feel at home with our crap bunch.
Morocco it is then ,good bye CR7.He can go £1billion a year, it dont matter. If some idiot wants to pay him, thats fine.

Morocco are fantastic, but you gotta have the Engine of Mo Farha to play that way. Also the ability of a top class footballer.
Maybe this is the way we should play.

Awesome way of playing football, killing the high press.
But look at there goal.Fantastic ball to a proper jumping heading beast, head shoulders above the bar.Never took his eye of it, above keepers hands outstretched.
The manager new he has a squad of talent , who are top fast middle distant runners, who can sprint.

Id crap myself if i had to play 16 players like them.
Fear that opposition would have if Everton played that way Frank.

I hope Morocco win it, good for football.

Probably wont, just hope their semi is a great contest.

I'd be surprised if we had 35million to spend up front. If we can get him for 25m and move the likes of Keane on maybe? I suspect we might loan a winger and buy a striker
