I think they will change the rules to stop this though.

They are on about imposing a maximum 5 year contract term now.

But in terms of loopholes, breaking rules or sticking two fingers up to FFP Chelsea absolutely haven't. Boehly is trying a different approach that I imagine lots of other clubs have looked at and figured it's too risky. I'd imagine their plan in the summer will be heavily focused on sales.

I’ve seen lots of comments mentioning Notts Forest, Southampton , Bournemouth and how much business they have done, 2 or even the 3 of them are likely to drop there finances aren’t going to be in a good way unless they sell all there best players. Notts Forest for example have bought about 25 players since the summer they will be in a right mess if they go down.

Perhaps this is all a risk to save money, we survive FFP issues will ease and we will probably be sold sooner or later, so perhaps this was the plan. On paper I still don’t think our squad is to bad just to many under performing, so if Dyche can work his magic we are in a much better financial position. Also we have Garner and Townsend to come back in and losing Gordon isn’t much of an issue as he’s been useless for months. At the end of the day no point in spending money if there right players aren’t available we’ve done that to many times in the past, I’d any of our January signing really help us to stay up last season? Mykolenko and he was just a replacement for Digne.

Tell us we are in a better financial position when we are playing Luton & Hull next season mate .
