There are players out there other clubs have bought or loaned who cost less than £10million in the same situation we are in the league.

We get relegated we lose £100million in revenue. We firesale players because we don't have relegation clause's. We hit FFP regulations in the championship we get deducted points.

All because we scouted poorly and left it too late when club's and agents have seen we've made £45mill and are desperate.

Which players are you talking about?

Yes the price we pay for relegation would be a painful one but that would be the culmination of years of mismanagement and failed transfers. Adding a couple of sub £10m players would likely not be the the difference between relegation or not.

Why would agents thinking we have £45m and desperate mean that we end up with no signings?

With no additions let's see if Dyche can get a tune out of the current squad. If he avoids relegation he has done brilliantly. Myself I think we have a better chance with Dyche than Lampard as he seemed to be just going through the motions until he was dismissed.

FFP is the reason they're giving out lengthy contracts. Spread the cost over 8 years accounts.

It's literally because of FFP that they are doing this. It's a massive risk in the long term though that may well bite them on the arse 3 or 4 years down the line if their 'investments' don't work out. That's why it bit us on the arse - our investments were shockingly bad and meant we had to take severe steps to balance the books a few years down the line.

It's still bending them and making it to be a complete farce it is. UEFA have already announced they're changing the rules where the max contact term is 5 years.

You get punished for breaking the rules...but not if you find a loophole. Superb

There's literally thousands all round the world that would bust a gut to come & play in this league for any club.

It’s a risk but if it pays off and we stay up we will then be in a decent financial position, let’s worry about playing the Luton’s and Hulls if it happens there is still a lot of football to play this season.
