Well the only positive I can take from this absolute sheeetshow of a transfer window is that perhaps maybe now the mentally ill lunatics who 4 weeks ago were saying "we'll get Kudus and Sancho any day now" and "Tuchel will deffo come here" might now beam on down and try living in reality for a bit, because the inevitable is fast approaching!

I don't think Frank should have stayed, we were obviously a sinking ship. I did however propose the benefits of him staying for the next 2 fixtures though as 1) that would have allowed us to concentrate on the targets without another man coming in and changing that landscape - in this case we might of got Danjuma and maybe more with Frank's pull. 2) His record against the bigger teams was better than the minnows, we would often have a game plan that suited our players. Let's face it these games are not a great start for the new man and if we were to get walloped in one or both then confidence might drop before we got going.
The only problem with that is if he had got 3/4 or by some miracle 6 points we would have had to have kept him for another couple of games that on paper were more winnable. In our situation though it is better to beat the teams around us than the top teams as you would be gapping them instead of letting them catch up and overtake. They don't call them 6 pointers for nothing. To that point it was a risk keeping him but looking at it in hindsight might have been the way forward.

We've wasted every single opportunity to take points off the teams around us, and now they'll all added to their squads. The damage has already been done, the dominos are a-tumbling...
