This is my worry. If we are after loans they will likely be in the last week when a lot become available. It might depend on results how quickly they push the button. The problem the club has left itself with is fixing the hardest issue: goalscoring, in the hardest window to obtain goalscorers, couple that with our financial weakness and their track record in recruitment in recent years, it doesn't make you feel confident does it....

The club wrote off 5 games at the start of the season and amazingly didn’t get pulled up on it,it was just accepted that they couldn’t get any meaningful replacement for Richarlison, they won’t care to throw another 4-5 games under the bus,this is what incompetent boards do
100%. I said it at the time but any result we got in those first 5 games was a bonus because they were more than happy to chuck 15 points away for starters.

All very valid points.
The window doesn't even open for almost two weeks, so certainly no cause for panic; I'd much rather the club identify the right targets and have the wheels in motion early as possible on them irrespective of how much/little noise comes out about them beforehand. Don't want to be scrambling round for players on deadline day ending up with the likes of Dele's and El Gahzi's again.
Crazy fee that...huge gamble. I would have take him on loan with an option to buy but no obligation...if it doesn't pay off it can end up being a very costly mistake for them.
