He’s not getting a sniff at Utd. We’ve got a great relationship with them, and we’ll be happy to cover most of his wages.

He doesn’t have to move house or up roots to come and play here. Rashford and Antony are ahead of him in the pecking order and if they get Gakpo he probably drops to fourth.
They’ve got that garrancho kid aswell now. He’s not getting in ahead of any of them atm.

Its quite scary that I really do think the lanky donkey Wood would improve us.

Thats how bad we are.

We scoff, but hes better than Maupay and not injured, so that would instantly make him our best Striker.

*shudders

The good news is, there are also roughly 4588 other Strikers in the world that would also improve us.
Unfortunately our world class heavyweight DOF hasn't heard of 4584 of them (or they haven't heard of him), so #WelcomeBigWoody it is!

(although thats probably a hashtag you don't want to click on without parental control settings......)

Wood is genuinely terrible and definitely not better than Maupay, who I don’t even think is very good either.

I dunno if he is better than Maupay.

He is different to him...

Unless we change how we set up and play it won't matter who we sign to play up front anyway as they will more then likely just sit isolated up front waiting for a ball that never comes.

Wouldn't surprise me if Martial is available too if they get Gakpo he's third or fourth too

Agree its not just a forward we need but a chance creator and or a change of set up

Whilst I still have faith in Lamps and Thelwell getting us out of this mess and to start moving us in the right direction ( Although gradually ).
I also have to have faith that we would of been planning for this window since the summer. I mean we concentrated on the shoring up of the team and making us harder to break down in that window, so its not rocket science that the next phase would/should be on the attacking side of squad so aswell as not conceding as many, we are also able to finish teams off.

As for quick fixes. I can't wait for the day 'we as fans' don't head into each window with that mindset stuck in heads.

Obviously Though being an Everton fan this Faith is a very hard thing to hold on to, so I will be anxiously gritting my teeth come January...

Any truly professional outfit at the top end of the industry really should begin the winter window planning process not long after the close of the summer window (I could imagine the likes of Man City or Bayern being as well-oiled and forward-thinking as that, us on the other hand, who knows...)

You'd hope we have our targets identified and wheels are in motion on them as much as possible, but it wouldn't surprise me if business ends up being done in the last week of the window as much as the first; just no more deadline day Dele's and El Ghazi's.

The Sancho talk is just rumours and conjecture at the moment. We have no idea whats going on with him.

Clearly he's got alot of competition at United while with us he slots in ahead of Demarai Gray on the left.

The Dele experiment worked in bursts but failed overall. If Sancho was to come in on loan and work in bursts then due to his talent Id take that.
