Well he’s surrounded by much better payers than Antony Gordon is. Just look at the table mate it’s not hard to understand. And it has everything to do with it, just look at some of the Garbage top clubs have sold for huge fees over the years, because they have looked a lot better than they actually are.

He maybe turn out to be great, but if he’s so good why are utd happy to spend 150mil on 2 other young wingers from the Dutch league.
And would probably snap our hands off if we offered utd 25mil for him

Please tell me which of our utterly useless wingers would keep him out of the team.

You can change Elanga for Billy Gilmour here and make the same points and have the same arguments yet competing logics.

Except you can’t because one is physically developed and able to compete in adult sport, and also hasn’t been proven not good enough to play for the worst Premier League team in decades.

Never ever fails to amaze me how delusional our fans are. We have Dwight McNeil playing Premier League games for us and people actually think a player like Elanga doesn’t walk into our starting XI instantly. Whether we can find someone better or not is irrelevant, I’m sure we can, but imagine making out like he isn’t good enough to get in our side. Same fans probably tipping Holgate and Godfrey for an England call up 18 months ago.
Would be fairly smart business, loan so not too costly and will want to prove himself, if we get loan players it has to be young/point to prove

But what if he can’t prove himself? We need players to hit the ground running. I don’t think we go for anyone who’s under 21/22.

You just give Elanga time!

Joking aside, he is a smart signing, younger player, direct, got 9 international caps who Lampard will probably improve.

It's a risk, but we arent going to have the funds to make established signings this window.

The consensus is from United fans that Elanga probably does not have a future as a PL player. Decent athlete but low IQ and poor technique. Can’t see him offering more than gray or Gordon

He's shown glimpses Elanga of having something about him, but I'd be very unsure of him offering what we need in the situation we are in. Can he

A - get straight into the team
B - offer a real goal threat to make the loan worthwhile

I think I'd rather have someone more experienced myself as I'd be really worried he'll just add to the pile of players we have who don't score enough and don't assist enough.

We'll see anyway, fingers crossed if it is him he hits the ground running and makes an instant impact.

It would be interesting to have an idea of the sort of funding to be made available in January. I have seen that our manager has stated we're in no position to compete with other Premier League clubs in the transfer market, he was speaking in reference to Wolves target Matheus Cunha.

All the best,

John.
