Yes, for some reason people think our recruitment team aren’t allowed to do actual work outside of transfer windows.

Of course they are. It is just far more difficult because we are in a relegation scrap. It’s a MASSIVE negative hindrance.

He handed in an official transfer request, and he’s currently a first teamer for the 3rd placed team in the league. Michael Keane is the worst centre back at 16th placed Everton.
What he has done now is nothing to with Brighton. Come on if he is viewed as any good he would not be sold for merely £13m at the time. Look at the fees Brighton received for their top players. They must hand in a transfer request too.

But nobody is going to pay £15m for a player who can’t even get into this current Everton team.

Alls we’ll end up doing is paying his £100k a week for the rest of the season to sit on our bench.
Then no one will pay money to us for any unwanted players…

My opinion is Keane isn`t the worst defender but really suited to teams that keep a lower defensive line, which is why he was probably at his best under managers like Carlo and Allardyce.. think he would work under Moyes and an upgrade on Dawson.

A loan would see him not be able to play against us when we play them next which could be pivotal as they are in and around us....

Sell him and he plays - much better as he’s crap !

Just get rid of Keane for whatever we can get. His wages are a drain and he’s terrible. Dread to think where we’d be this season if he was playing instead of Coady and Tarkowski.

Can we make sure he’s able to play against us even if we loan him?

I’m not saying he’s some top defender. £13m is a fair price for Dan Burn. £13m would be too much for Michael Keane.

I mean he'd instantly be our best attacker.

He doesn't have an attitude problem despite what some like to say. He's a very, very talented player who United have completely mishandled by signing Ronaldo.

Whether we'd be right to try and rekindle that talent - well that's the risk, but he's a very good player. Does suit a team where space is afforded to him more, that has to be said.
No doubting his talent. Stick Foden in our side he'd stink out the place. Can't speak about his attitude. I don't know enough of that. Seems like a decent kid from what I've seen. He's a luxury player, we need "plucky little Everton" style players again given our current plight.

Dan Burn was a squad player at Brighton and he does not have England caps.
The point being? I'd have Dan Burn in a heartbeat. And was very much a regular at LB in Broghton side. Northern lad, jumped at opportunity to go back closer to home. Improved under Howe too, as most have there.

How much do you think we can get eventually when he is sold?

If West Ham is desperate they need to pay a fee.

We are bloated at cb. I would be trying to get rid of Mina as his contract is running down and Keane. Freeing up wages from those two and any type of fee either from a sale or loan fee should be reinvested in attacking players. That would leave us with Coady, Tarkowski, Godfrey, Holgate and Coleman as cover at cb.

That would balance the squad.
