If Elanga is the domestic loan who is the foreign loan? That's the question now because I don't see us spending unless we can punt a Keane or Holgate

Fair enough.
With Maupay he's a half-decent squad filler for a team that has a certain way of playing. No surprise he went from Brentford to Brighton and succeeded at both.
However, he's very limited in any other system and that's what we've seen.
It was panic mode and all because they weren't ready to go on a striker first thing. I do blame Thelwell for that. Dom got injured August 1st.
We would have been better just buying a big target man than Maupay even if it wasn't a brilliant target man it would have been better backup to Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Has it been a miss? With his whopping total of 1 goal.
I've noticed leeds fans saying their defence has been killing them this season. You can guess how surprised I was, when I went on the BBC website this morning to see the club have identified they have a problem in that area and have a defender signed a couple of days into the window. But what would Everton do, good times, good times.

Especially Keane will be difficult. Nobody is coughing up decent money for him as well as his excessive wages, and no professional footballer agrees to substantially lower wages to secure a move nowadays. Best we can hope for on him is a loan and us covering a good chunk of his salary. If Elanga is the domestic loan who is the foreign loan? Holgate I do see as sellable, maybe around £10m. We really ought to get moving on the outgoings as it looks like incomings are dependent on that.
I'd be touting Mina, Holgate and Keane right now, alongside Davies but obviously he, like Mina, just move on a free transfer in the summer. If any interest at all remains in Gordon, I'd get him out too. £30m brought in for Gordon, Holgate and Mina wound be brilliant and could plug two very important gaps for us and keep us up.
Absolutely.
On Thelwell and Lampard not being prepared for me. It is a very big world, there would have been a much more appropriate back up to Dominic Calvert-Lewin than Neal Maupay that would have been in price range, loan range. Absolutely scandalous, as we all said at the time.
I think Maupay is garbage, one of the worst i've seen in a blue shirt, but he's also not a target man and I do feel for him a little bit.
Great news, hopefully keeps them in trouble. The more teams down there the better.Don’t worry, he’s crap.
We don't need top forwards. We need better than terrible ones (Maupay), ones that you would bank on scoring 7-8 goals in the remaining 20 fixtures if they play every game. Top forwards join top clubs, and we're crap.£30m won't get you to top forwards in Jan, unfortunately.
Would agree with this. With the exception that when Lampard gets the boot at the end of the window, the only signing will be the new manager favourite who can't run any more, like Rondon.I genuinely think no players are coming in because the board will wait until the next three league games are done, after which they'll decide whether or not to keep Lampard.
After the third fixture we go into a 10-day period before the window ends, and they probably naively think that's enough time to start and close out a managerial search, as well as allow the new guy to determine whether he requires additional players, scout them, approach clubs, agree deals, have them fly over for a medical and sign contracts.
We have three winnable games on the horizon and it would be a travesty to pick up fewer than 6 points from them.
For me, Lampard ought to go tonight if we don't beat Brighton, but you can bet that won't happen. We're quickly running out of on-paper winnable home games, and this will push us into needing go to away and turn Expected Defeats into victories, and that just won't happen.
Not allowed to do any business on a match day, then we’ve got to prepare for Friday’s game, then it’s the weekend so no business then either, won’t be anything this week unfortunately.
