This is an irrelevance, we need to get out of the mentality that it’s important. A completely outdated cliche that died in the mid-00’s when Mourinho won the league with a team full of lads who’d only just come into the country.

I agree it's more of an irrelevance nowadays, but I would probably trust Ings to get the goals over somebody nobody has ever heard of and is an utter punt. But we need two players, Ings and one of those slight punts from abroad would fit the bill perfectly, but we'll probably get neither.

Maupay was Premier League proven, he’s basically useless to us at the moment. It literally means nothing. I would much rather take a punt on someone from overseas than spend a fortune on some 30 year old from the Premier League. Also it’s not a “punt” if you’ve scouted sufficiently and done your due diligence on the player.

As an aside I see Edin Dzeko still scoring goals for Milan at the age of 36. Should of signed him years ago ?‍

I wouldnt trust him to play 5 games between now and the end of the season
With our Medical department I wouldn't even trust him to have limbs at the end of the season
