I think we should 100% take a low-risk punt on Brereton-Diaz.

He's got Jelavic written all over him.

May not have the pace, but two pacy wingers either side can compliment that.

He'd be a great back-up to Dominic Calvert-Lewin and has that goal-scoring DNA.
Every time I've watched Diaz, he's played on the left wing, off a target man. So not sure he's the DCL backup you crave.

I *think* I'm right in saying that Gordon has been the fastest player in the league this season, statistically speaking based on top speed reached

That same stat said Jagielka was the fastest player in the league, it’s a one off timed sprint (without the ball) in one random game at a random time in the season, it doesn’t mean anything. I’ve never once seen Gordon dribble past a full back.

Nahh.

Fans:
“Why don’t the club have a plan”

Also fans
“Sign any forward we can”
“Swing from an attacking manager back to dinosaur football.. but only until the end of the season and then back to trying to be good”
“Sack yet another manager with no plan because it has worked so well before”

Honestly some fans on here have the club they deserve.
In the absence of a plan and the desperate need for goals, I think we are justified in our "sign any forward we can" sentiment tbh

We're asking for Danny Ings and Anthony Elanga on loan and fans think we have £30m to spend?

Baffling
The summer we dealt in loans and frees but also splashing big on Onana. I think most would acknowledge that the deals in between (McNeil and Maupay) were the worst ones (so far). So it would be logical to try to deal again in loans to preserve the whole of the budget for one quality addition rather than spread it too thin.
