Newcastles 3 strikers cost £62m, £25m and £20m. Over 100m on strikers. They have a 211m net spend since the takeover with less turnover than us in past few years (from what I could see on Google). That’s more than our net spend over last 5 years.

Yet we can’t spend. FFP does not work.

Or am I missing something?

I don’t think it’s purely an p&l sustainability issue anymore.

Even if we could find a way to skirt around the punishments for that, our owners sugar daddy source of income has been sanctioned.

Thank god we're in a position to take our time. No panic, they've only had since September to sort deals out
I'm not sure I would fancy a player who agreed to join us back in September.

Not only would he be a bit disloyal to his present club but he would also be incredibly thick.

The big problem right now is we are a really hard sell.

A club at civil war, a manager who may not be here by the end of the month, players who are deemed crap after 2 months and the prospect of relegation looming. Where do I sign?

Wages matter too

We have paid extortionate wages to mediocre players and sick notes

Looking like Wieghorst going to United - might indicate there’s a lack of attacking options out there. I’d imagine this means elanga comes to us. Haven’t seen enough of him. Unsure where he fits in?

Chelsea seem to be signing the entire world - wouldn’t be surprised if someone like loftus cheek became available and could replace iwobi’s injury.
