Newcastles 3 strikers cost £62m, £25m and £20m. Over 100m on strikers. They have a 211m net spend since the takeover with less turnover than us in past few years (from what I could see on Google). That’s more than our net spend over last 5 years.

Yet we can’t spend. FFP does not work.

Or am I missing something?
Never mind them strikers, wish we'd have gone for trippier and guimeres. Would be our best two players by a mile.

I watched Coventry v Wrexham game , our supposed target Viktor Gyökeres came on in the first half, he took his goal well and looked sharp and lively . A different striker, more in the Maupay mould, than DCL/ Simms , not sure he’s what we need but of course the questions are is he better than what we got…and can we afford him.
The best Coventry player was Casey Palmer , I haven’t seen much of him since his Chelsea youth days, quite a decent player , not likely to set the PL on fire, more of a Iwobi replacement if he’s out long term.

I'm not sure I would fancy a player who agreed to join us back in September.

Not only would he be a bit disloyal to his present club but he would also be incredibly thick.

The big problem right now is we are a really hard sell.

A club at civil war, a manager who may not be here by the end of the month, players who are deemed crap after 2 months and the prospect of relegation looming. Where do I sign?
On the flip side say you are a good player and aren't playing at another club and it's a loan deal, you would fancy yourself to get regular first team football and a platform in this league

They make more money than us through sponsors and gate receipts for a start. Their wage bill has probably been a quarter of ours over that period too. We don’t make any money as a business, we lose £100m+ every single year, that’s why we’re in breach of P&L and they’re not.
