About £70m.So……. Pickford ….. how much do we want for him ?
Apart from Haaland, I've yet to see a football anywhere close to father's level. They're always hyped up in their teens due to the famous dad but pretty much always end up massive flops and go in the abyss. Jordi Cruff, Justin Kluivert, Alex Bruce are a few that spring to mind
And Jamie RedknappFrank Lampard is one
People get suckered into this every single window. It doesn’t ring right with me that we had money available for the transfers only go and spend 1.5m in total
They'll just put in daft bids for players that would never come here and when they know they will also be outbid tenfold by other clubs. They can then claim that they tried to get players in but FFP means that other clubs can outspend them.I’d rather they just come out and tell us that there’s no money and won’t be any signings at this point. As if the absolute cowards will do that though, club is terrified of the fans.
Alex Bruce? Made a career of getting his dad to sign him. Would have been a non league player without dad.Apart from Haaland, I've yet to see a football anywhere close to father's level. If we lose against S'ton it will go off.
If we do support Lampard, we should support our players to play their best to win this match! It is not easy but I dont think we cant. It is down on our fighting spirits. Recruiting a new player is not easy especially we dont have that budget and need multiple players. The biggest frustration is the fixture this weekend. Southampton will beat this current team. We was desperate for new players before this fixture, its a must win.
I tend to agree. the mcneil and maupay deals were very very strange. I cannot understand how he ok'd them or worse if he was actively seeking those two. both made zero sense.Wouldn't give Lampard a penny to spend, he would waste it anyway
If that is the case we need to accept the offers even if it means a pittance as we need players now we can't afford to lose more games. My two penneth worth for what its worth. I think we have a modest budget to get players in which would be swelled by player sales.
So we either spend the modest budget we have on a certain type of player or get some out to increase the pot to be able to get better players in.
The problem is no one really wants our players for meaningful amounts so we're stuck.
Michael Owen was better than his dad who played for Everton.Apart from Haaland, I've yet to see a football anywhere close to father's level.
