Danny Ings?
Is that the best we can come up with?
He had 2 knee injuries that were so serious he was lucky to ever play again, also there are 5 hamstring injuries on there, he is a player who relies on his pace over the first 10 yards or so, not for me not at the age he is at now.Hes only ever had two bad injuries mate. According to this he hasn’t been injured since Jan 21.

Anything doing on ins mate?
Maybe he does, but it’s a long way from guaranteed. It’s not like we’d be signing Harry Kane- he has one high scoring season for Southampton in 19-20 but other than that his scoring record isn’t that prolific. He’s not a significant enough upgrade to justify signing a 30 year old on a permanent deal and making him our top earner.keeps us in this league though.
5 minutes on our concrete training pitches will finish him off for goodHe had 2 knee injuries that were so serious he was lucky to ever play again, also there are 5 hamstring injuries on there, he is a player who relies on his pace over the first 10 yards or so, not for me not at the age he is at now.
I wonder what the reaction would have been to Kev Campbell if Socials had existed as much back in the day?Danny Ings?

They won't loan him though, this is going to end up an expensive transfer for yet another older player on big money who we will be stuck with.He scores goals out of nothing which considering we hardly create any chances I would say he is exactly the type of forward we should be signing.
I know he is injury prone but if we manage his appearances he would definitely score goals and that is what we need would prefer a loan but in terms of quality it isn't too dissimilar to when we signed Saha.

When we signed Maupay it was “better than Rondon”, now months later we’re looking at huge wages to be “better than Maupay”.
Yeah I can see that point but in terms of proven PL quality he is by far the best player we have been linked with. If we get him fit for 10-12 games he will score the goals that could turn those matches in our favour. They won't loan him though, this is going to end up an expensive transfer for yet another older player on big money who we will be stuck with.
May as well of left simms at Sunderland then, 2 perfectly ready championship strikers just in time for next season.Dobbin isn't ready at all. If you saw the small glimpses we saw in a blue shirt under Benitez, and then seen any of him at Derby, he's not ready.
Cannon, a fair shout but him going on loan to a Championship club is the right call for him, 100%.
Simms, im not sold. He wasn't "ripping it up in the championship", and while that shouldn't be a criteria for if he was ready, upon his recall many Sunderland fans said they wish him well, hes done well for them but is nowhere near prem level.
Maupay is proper garbo, proper, but I dont see either of those instantly being a hit in the team. I can understand the argument for Cannon, as I think he has something, he has conviction in his shooting, which is massive and something Dominic Calvert-Lewin doesn't and will never have, but he needs to go and play week in week out and really fine tune his game. He may go and have a wonderful 6 months and be deemed ready, he may not be ready.

Is Oscar Pistorius still in Jail? Could we borrow his blades? (Asking for a friend...)5 minutes on our concrete training pitches will finish him off for good
And how long a contract will he be demanding cos he certainly won't except a 2yr contract at his age.He is 30 years old and massively injury prone, and wants big wages. He is exactly the sort of play we SHOULDN'T be signing.
