A good general rule of thumb when trying to work out whether any of these players will sign for us is that if they're good they won't, and if they're utterly mediocre, slow, and vastly overpriced, they probably will. Some of the names on here already will very much not be rocking up to relegation threatened Everton in January, I think we can be pretty sure on that.

I just want us working on getting the ball upfield. I would actually love for us to go back to a long-ish ball kind of play after the break. Bored of the tippy Pep style play which generally results in loosing the ball anyway or Pickford booting it out for a throw.

….only time will tell. Players with quality we need are not necessarily the most expensive. The difficulty is identifying the quality that is available. People at our club are paid lots of money to get these decisions right.
