I really thought we'd solved a problem in middle of the park with the signings of Gana and Onana. But it's becoming clear Gana is at the wrong end of his career and Onana needs time to develop. And not to mention we're seriously lacking a creative player. Not sure how to fix this mess as needs multiple quality signings. I haven't even got to a striker yet either!

Players that 'can do a job for us' seems about as good as we can recruit, but more often than not these guys play a stinker...Maupay.
Onana is a six that's where he should learn his trade. Gana is more of a pressing and breaking up player somewhere between a 6/8 as someone else said we should leave them as a double pivot and also give Garner games in there when we need to keep the ball better.

When he does get forward it doesn't exactly look good. And in possession isn't just getting forward.

Let's just say it wouldn't be crazy for a new manager to come in with a different set of ideas and decide Vinagre suits it better.

Or we could try a different tactic other than ‘get the left back to cross it’ which we’ve played for about 15 years. Maybe we could actually use some attacking players to attack rather than castigating every left back we have who isn’t prime Leighton Baines

Moukoko out of contract in summer... BVB would bite our hands off for £25m in Jan, would just need to pay the lad big bucks to entice him anywhere near here. If we can get Mina and Keane off the books frees up plenty.
Left footed, powerful, skillful... far too good for us i suppose ?

Hell, go after Marcus Edwards as well and offer Sporting the chance to treble their money on him in one year.
Both players fit right profile of young, ball playing footballers with a potential profit in the future.

Fabrizio Romano has stated that Liverpool and FC Barcelona could face competition from as many as seven clubs to sign Borussia Dortmund star Youssoufa Moukoko, who is yet to decide on his future.

Think he had stalled on signing a new contract due to not getting enough game time.
He sure aint gonna get more minutes at Liverpool or Barca than he's getting just now.
Dortmund get nowt for him if they let him run down his contract, the big hurdle would be convincing him to sign for a mediocre side though.
But the kid wont be ready to start week in week out at the top level, from the looks of him he would start every week for us.

Im no expert, but 17 years old, playing for Dortmund and Germany, I really do not see him rocking up here mate.

I mean, why the hell would he? Looks like he can pick his team.

What’s the latest news involving Kamada?
There is uncertainty over where Kamada’s long-term future lies as his Frankfurt deal, which is worth £33,480-per-week, is due to expire next summer.

The 21-cap Japan international, who has previously been valued at £26million, could sign a pre-contract agreement with an overseas club when he enters the final six months of his commitment to the Bundesliga side in January.

According to German media outlet Fussball Transfers, Everton are among a number of clubs to have enquired about Kamada’s situation.

We could have said the same 3 years ago when we signed Moise.
Newcastle signed Isak after a midtable finish and no european football, six months after both Barca and Arsenal were touted as favourites to sign him, and im sure St James wasnt his preferred choice.
Money talks, and if we could get rid of more deadwood then he could become an affordable risk we go for.
