Im still baffled as to why we cant spend any money.

FFP and the Prem spending rules is a 3 year period is it not ??

In the last 5 years our net spend is at £165 million.....in the current bottom 10 of the prem 5 teams have spent more than us in that time.

Why is it only high spending Everton that are mentioned, and why are these other clubs able to spend and we cant !?!

Im convinced we are not spending so Moshiri can sell it with better recent books, OR the money is being re-directed into the ground OR paying his loans back.

It doesn't add up to me.

It’s not about spend mate, it’s about losses, our losses are the worst in the league rolling.

Losses include your costs and wage bill and your spend.

Essentially you can loose £35 mill a year for three years and you haven’t broken the rules. We have lost 100-120 mill a year most years over the last three.

We should loose about 70-80 mill this year.

Arnoutovic would be good on a 18 month contract. I think we would have to offer that for him to come.
Just be nice to have a forward on the pitch, who’s technically a good player and might actually make a few good decisions in the final 3rd, instead of turning in to Stuart Barlow on the edge of the box like the rest of them.

The board create the budget and sign off on contracts, but player selection, value and due diligence of surely in the remit of DOF as head of the football dept, that role and responsibility has a dynamic in terms of value and recruitment. He couldn’t realise an asset or sell a player to save his life either bar obvious players we really shouldn’t have sold, at least Walsh for all the criticism took Sunderland and Watford to the cleaners, Thelwell seems he can do out deals too. Brands sold most of his players, so they represented value.

One or two injuries is unlucky but wasting 100 of Millions on a good few is a trend and smacks of poor due diligence, which falls on the footballing dept. There is a reason Lampard and Thelwell went out in the summer with a key criteria of wanting to sign players with a history of playing games and fitness. The club was on life support for injuries after Brands was booted. His signing represented poor value.

The man was a scourge on the club and wasted millions, that continue to be wasted and losses added to that undermine the club.

He wasn’t sacked for doing a good job a chara pso any rebuttal in moot.
Then blame that on Moshiri who wanted him from the word go and probably recommended via Kia. Also if you check the vaults you will find that I took pelters from many on here when Brands was appointed as I said he was the wrong choice.

Oh I’ve blame to go around many at the club mate but each was complicit with the other or unilateral in their ego and actions and cost the club 100s of millions. Brands was an incompetent and cost us 100s of millions - if you don’t blame him wholly then he had a key role, the legacy of such is still being felt today as we scrape hard into the barrel.

He’s a classic case of the Emperors new clothes.
