We are definitely in a position where you need to gamble on someone who has a history of dealing with this situation. Dyche should have been brought in after Bournemouth. That's become clearer and clearer with each passing week.

Do I think it's a guaranteed fix? Absolutely not. But we'd be much better placed to crawl out of this. We wouldn't have thrown away as many points to our rivals this past month.

I think Gordon's perceived value has dropped since the window closed in August. If we had sold for £40m at that time I think there would have been demonstrations outside the ground, now that chelsea have signed Murdyk I dont think they would be interested. Maybe Spurs would be interested in Gordon and Pickford, but they will probably wait for the end of the season and see if they can get them on the cheap.
