Is this something that Gordon could do if we get attackers with good movement ahead of him?

I think so, though he ball carries as opposed to splits a defense with a pass, but the lad can break a line. JWP destroyed us last week with a bit a vision - we could do with the like.

We've badly let down Gordon in my opinion, pressure on the lad at 21 one is ridiculous.

Another problem is Lampard, we play fanny ball to much and loose all attacking inniative, passing it slowly and lethargically from defence it takes us two mins to get over the half way line and by that stage the opposition has two bank of four set up and we arent scoring, there is no verve or surprise or lads caught behind the play - watch today at West Ham, Moyes is going to do just that and we will be nailed on the counter. I can write the script already.

Gordon put the pressure on himself, wanting the number 10 shirt, saying he wants to play upfront.

He’s let himself down this year because the one thing he has done is drop off his own intensity. He wasn’t good last year, far from it, but he tried to look half arsed

Reality: keane is very likely a loan move with probably us still paying part of his wages, and for holgate we'll do well to get 8 millions but probably also end up being a loan.
Keane I’d take anything I’d get for but Holgate is a decent player, which is why Forest want him. Not brilliant but loads of PL experience, versatile and still young for a defender, those are valuable qualities. In a world where the likes of McNeil or Maupay are 10-15 I’d be wanting close to 15 for Holgate.
