Only 20 and a loan would be ace.

£80mil - £33mil × .8
+ £33mil
= what I wrote.
= Correct.

No as i remember the swap deal is supposed to be 'realistic' or lawyers get called in. The fee + player value attributed to the swap is also counted in the % of profit.

Gana is finished. Garner is q different player and complements Onana.

Why do you think its Onana linked and not the others?

Thats ok as long as we go for youth and potential.

We'd only have Garner as an effective CM so we'd need 3 new players with Gana and Gomes contracts expiring.

Me too.

He had a bad injury didnt he? Has he lost something? Strange Arsenal dont use him more.

Clearly ;)

zat get to bed

We only have three real assets: Pickford, Branthwaite, Onana.

Our financial situation is still appalling due to the mess Bill left us in after selling to the world's dumbest billionaire.

So we'll likely need to continue to sell our best players and only invest a fraction of the money.

With that in mind, it would have to be Onana imo. We're seemingly in no position to be demanding Caicedo/Rice type money, so I reckon he goes for about £50m and we just get a loan signing in.

Such fun being an Everton fan.

behave lad

I thought they were restricted by ffp this window? Also they seem to require a striker not another midfielder so these reports seem to be lacking any substance at this point but who knows

They are, that's why they took Raya in a one-year loan deal with an option to make the transfer permanent next summer to circumvent P&S/FFP. Something Italian clubs have been good at.

Football is goosed when fans are discussing P&S/FFP and VAR bollocks.

The top clubs who win everything can spend whatever they want to win more.

The bottom clubs who haven’t spent anything can’t spend anything without having a team of accountants on board to sell their best players on the right days of the month.

Everyone is fine with it though as long as they can watch some super Sunday live premier league action from Anfield or the Etihad from their couch.

They are killing the competition and enjoyment of the game.

If some on here are talking about Everton putting a £100m price tag on Onana or only accepting £75m plus then how much do you rate Nelson and Smith Rowe as being worth.

Smith Rowe - poor injury record - 2 years left on contract in the summer - transfermarkt value of £25m

Nelson - played 43 times in 6 years - transfermarkt value £15m.

So unless you think we are going to be selling Onana for a book value of £40m then I think extra cash would be needed on top. Plus doing a swap might allow us to be a bit creative accounting wise and avoid or minimise any sell on fees passed to Lille from when we bought Onana.

Not saying it’s likely but those two players are surplus to requirements possibly at Arsenal but tick the right boxes for what we need.
Not being funny but how do you work that out mate? Tick what boxes? One is a crock, the other only plays when its a leap year!
