Great name and is one of the best young players on football manager this year, at 400k that's enough for me tbh.

Maybe he's made his cash and fancies a return to Merseyside which is familiar and a PL club.

I cant see him going to Chelsea somehow.

If we did get him - which we probably wont - I doubt too many would be disappointed.

He's nowhere near the level he was or as good as that lot and their media told everyone he was, but he'd help us out here for sure.

I would completely agree with this, except for one caveat: let's say we "win" our appeal on the points deduction, but we end up with a transfer ban instead. This seems like a real possibility to me. How do we then conduct the necessary sales and rebuild this summer?

It's pretty clear that we should be building around these guys for the future, but realistically - barring some miracle - Onana and Branthwaite are both going to be moved on sooner probably than later. So maybe we should consider letting Onana go this month and starting some of the rebuild a little early, with an eye towards that possible transfer ban. I'd still wait on Branthwaite, though. He's the real gem that we should only let be pried away when it becomes completely unavoidable.
