…you like him, Zat? He looks an uncomplicated winger to me, nothing fancy just looks to exploit the space behind the full-back. I like uncomplicated.

Kanchelskis 'uncomplicated', or Cristiano Ronaldo 'complicated' ?

Very difficult for me to digest as ours are uncomplicated but McNeil far superior to Harrison imo.

….or it might be more that Everton are promising them first dabs on Branthwaite and/or Onana.

That would be fine. United are generally high buyers but we shouldnt pre agree fees etc

Branthwaite is far to good for united. they are a mess and a million miles away from competing at the top
The way they’d get back to the top is buying players like Branthwaite though. The lad is not just top class but seems an honest, down to earth hard worker. If Ratcliffe and his people want to change the culture it’s the sort of investment they should be making.

oh deffo, but my point is, why would brathwaite want to go there? he could just go a team already at the top and not take a gamble on a team like united who might or might not get back to being good,

me personally, i think he's got city written all over him to replace stones

Yeah I think he’d be great at city, but they’re not struggling in that position so depends what their priorities are.

I think with United they do need a culture change, and SJR / Brailsford will know that, but a club that big are never that far away. Going for Branthwaite in itself would be a sign of them doing the right things.

Yeah, going to United would be a bit of a gamble on them getting back to contending but he’s got a long career ahead of him to win things. And while City might seem more of a sure thing, going to a club with 115 FFP charges pending is not without risk itself.

Man utd are a busted flush...Brailsford should stick to fellas riding round the countryside in their ballies.

It smells of when Woodward went in at Southampton as Director of Football. United can use all the analytics they want but its about buying the best and United ain't dining at the top table anymore.

Branthwaite should be looking at Madrid Bayern or Barca...he'll be right at the front of Carlo thinking without a doubt ,wouldn't be surprised if Madrid come calling sooner rather that later so they can grab him before his price becomes astronomical.
