If Mina is off this summer, we need Branthwaite, if Mina is off next summer, Branthwaite needs games.

I think all he is missing is the tactical experience that you only get from being involved in high pressure matches.

In the very few games I've seem him, he looks assured with physical attributes to match.

Aside from this, hopefully Lampard gets him starting sooner rather than later.

He's no worse than Keane or Holgate.
These idiots paid £80m for Maguire. We can wipe out our last 3 years’ losses in one fell swoop, here.

When Mina is not fit, Branthwaite is probably the best centre back at the club. He really should be playing ahead of Keane, Holgate and probably Godfrey .
I'd say Mina is the best by a long way.

Then Godfrey and Branthwaite both have quality and potential but lack either leadership or tactical nous.

Weve not seen much of Godfrey and Mina together...on paper thats our best pairing but perhaps Branthwaite and Godfrey could form a partnership.

Lazy journalism Everton should be adding to the center back position not weakening it buy selling the lad with the most potencial
Utd want to buy him on the lower end of their budget yeah ok that story is laughable

I dont want to put huge pressure on him but he has everything in his locker to be an England regular.

We really could do with targeting more of this profile of player in the summer.

I hope any centre back and defensive midfielders coming in the summer window are signed to complement him

Your going to get these links whilst the relegation vultures are circling. No doubt clubs will be interested in our best and brightest, thinking young flash and Jarrod, it only becomes less of a choice if we go down, we will need money, however if we stay up, we can talk of developmental pathways.

Id like to see him start ahead of Mina against the RS.

We need to keep Mina fit for the Chelsea game and cant have him getting injured again.

….if Mykolenko is injured, I’d play this boy LB at Watford.

i know he’s a big old unit but he’s not immobile, he’s much faster than Kenny, can stride forward and gives us more height defensively. If you add in his better use of the ball, his aerial threat in the opposition box and most importantly he’s naturally left sided for better team balance then I hope Lampard selects him.

See him as a potential England centre back. See him as a liability at Watford at left back.
Holgate, Godfrey, Coleman then Kenny would be preferred by me there.
It’s been a tough season for branthwait to break through. At no point has risking bedding in young players over the experience. Looking forward he needs serious minutes next season though

He wasn't on the bench was he yesterday Eggs but Welch was. Made me think him and Davies had picked up knocks/illness over the last couple of days.
