Why would City want him? Seems like an expensive investment when you already have THB, CJ Egan Riley, Finley Burns and Callum Doyle amongst others on the books. Not like they done an amazing job developing Garcia either. This story has no legs at all for me.

How do they keep ball these players happy surely with city bringing in alverez and haaland youngster's like delap and Palmer must look at pathway to the first team even harder .

They don’t really have to have a pathway to the City first team to be happy. They’ve picked up over £200 mill plus in recent years by selling players on . “ Come to us we’ve got the best coaches and best facilities , we’ll improve your game to the extent that even if you don’t make our first team you’ll be a very marketable commodity for other leading clubs such that you’ll have a great career in the game….”

I think Branthwaite has all the attributes to be a top centre back. Tough season, interrupted by injuries and then the Brentford game when he’s outdone by an experienced striker. I hope he’ll have a good pre season and be a regular starter next year for us.

They wouldn’t want him, our young players just have to be linked with a move away.

If City wanted a new defender they’d just drop stupid money on the best young defender in Europe, they’re not going to sign a player like Branthwaite where nobody’s even sure if he’s good enough yet
