Even our clueless board wouldn’t sell that cheap, if he’s a Psv player and English clubs where sniffing, they’d want 40mil

Exactly. Our valuation has to be the same as PSV’s would be if he was theirs, and looking at the wild prices of young Eredivisie players you’d say 30m plus bare minimum. I wouldn’t be inclined to sell because he’s potentially got the lot but if a big, big offer came we then need to decide whether other positions would benefit more from the investment.

If he was Dutch then youre probably talking £30mil or £40mil for him as a PSV player.

As our player and being English...

Should be in our team next season and if he had to be sent on loan then surely needs to go to a place where he can master the dark arts.

Roma for Mourinho?

Let Brands pay straight cash for him, the useless cart will likely end up throwing £75m at us given his track record.

I posted before that tbeir transfer record is only something like £15mil. But, for the players signed on high fees, they typically are sold for big money.

Thats why they want him...to sell for a huge fee themselves.

If Brath wants out then I propose £20m plus 50% sell on for anything above that, plus a buy-back option of £30m.

I mean I wouldn’t necessarily say PSV are a Top European at this time.
The eredivisie isn’t the strongest at the moment, and they’re 4th out of the 4 dominant sides, at this time.

Nothing against Jarrad mind, who’s been excellent, a very positive story.

I’d expect us to give him a fair shot with there being a combination of ageing and sub par defenders on our book.

I’m just talking about the club, PSV are a top renowned side and always get into Europe.

That's a bit of a stretch. I think most players would see playing in the PL as a bigger draw than playing in the EL so it's not that we have to be worry about really. I think the second part is right though, having got experience at a good level now he's going to want to carry on playing and so if there isn't a place for him in our first team squad then he's going to want to go. It all depends how much he's developed his game I suppose, I wouldn't put too much stock in the fact we've never assured him of minutes before because realistically he's probably played as much as you would realistically have expected for someone of his age and position. If he's kicked on as much people seem to think he has then he should be at a level where he's a legitimate option for us next year.

Well that’s the point. If we can’t guarantee him minutes who cares how much bigger the PL is?

didn't Brands sign him from Carlisle for less than £1m?
Yep. Well, he was Director of Football at the time, but I genuinely can't see him having been the one scouting in League One for talent. Still, I'll credit him with it just like I'll discredit him with the signings of Gomes, Gbamin, Delph, etc.

Xavi Simons
Johan Bakayoko

...and our old friend Ibrahim Sangare.

I'm sure there is a player(s) plus cash deal (one way or the other) on mutually beneficial sell on fees and buy backs installed to be had.

Branthwaite has a ridiculously high ceiling imo ... But a quality ball playing CB isn't really high on our priorities to add to the first team squad.
