Jarrad Branthwaite

Mina is gone in the summer as his contract is up isn’t it? I would imagine Keane will want to go as well but can see us keeping Holgate. Which would leave us with Tarks, Coady (who I imagine we take up the option on), Godfrey, Holgate and Branthwaite. Good mix of ages and experience.

I can't see Keane going anywhere while his uncle Sean is around

I'm a big fan of the lad. However I can also see a world where the manager may stick with a regular partnership, and likes Michael Keane, so a reasonable offer would be looked at. 15-20m with a decent sell on fee may fall into that.

I'd love to see him given a chance here, but I'm not sure Dyche will want a experienced CB.

The move to PSV has done him the world of good to be truthfully honest.

Patiently waited for his chance, took his opportunity and is now consistently one of their best performers.

The eredivisie isn’t the strongest league, but competing for a side doing well like PSV can only be a good thing.

Got European football coming his way too, as they’ve got a quite interesting tie agains Sevilla coming up next week, could easily progress there.

This stinks of that lad who joined us young. Never got to play under Moysie and then we sold/released him.

Same player is now an England International and Spurs regular.

We don’t half shoot ourselves in the foot sometimes.

Is the next move a two year extension and a loan to a championship or even lower prem side? yes yes, either could be us etc...

I’m assuming you mean Dier? We had him on loan from Sporting CP when he was like 16/17

IMO he is overrated (by thee media because he is at a top 6 club) and I can nearly guarantee you that if we had signed him, he wouldn’t be an England regular.

(Assuming we stay up)

The team should be built around JB, Onana, garner, Patterson and price

maybe even cannon if his Preston stint goes well but those 5 should be starters every week if they can stay fit

Some might argue that he is better than what we’ve had over the years he has been playing for Tottenham.

We had the lad in the palm of our hands but Moyes & Co didn’t like him and let him go.

Dipsticks!

Remember that centre half Moyes signed from the Italian league who they quickly discovered after he joined the club couldn’t head the ball properly!

What a manager!

Why sell without giving him a propa chance?

As others have said we have a lot of CBS but half of them are crap and/or always injured.

Tarkowski and coady both 30ish, Godfrey as useful as he is pace wise isn't the best defender, can deffo see brainthwaite having a good future.

Let’s hope Everton FC don’t make the same mistakes with Branthwaite as they have with many young players.

Antonee Robinson anyone?

Ffs Moyes was the last manager we had that actually signed decent players consistently. It’s hard to judge a centre half at 17. He did buy Jagielka, Distin, Lescott, Yobo and Stones..
