Seems they’ve said you got a slight injury last time you were with England so we’ll give you this one off to rest and recover
 
I feel like they usually never mention when the player might be back - guess theymust have anticipated the collective bottle loss of the fanbase if he was out for any length of time.

They’re looking after Michael Keane’s welfare, he can sleep soundly over the next two weeks rather than waking up in a cold sweat every night at the thought of having to play.
 
so basically he's played the last two as good as he has carrying an injury.

How does this even make sense?

"I won't play him at the start of the season in case of injury but I'll play him 2 weeks later and then he can go for an operation we know he needs."
