The fact the media are pedalling a narrative that we are somehow in the wrong//crazy/deluded for not bending to the manc cheapness and actually sticking to our guns on price for a player under contract is just a bit sad.

I said it earlier in this thread and I’ll say it again, I would genuinely rather keep Branthwaite for another season and take a 3/4 PSR penalty, than let him go on the cheap and have Keane play centre half for us. Having Branthwaite in the team would more than likely win us more points than what we’d have deducted.

The narrative in the media seems to be that because Man Utd have over spent on garbage for years now then Everton should be reasonable with our valuation and accept a lower offer. Just shows the bias and influence some of these clubs have in getting their messages out.
