I think there's a chance that JB's alright with staying as long as the club doesn't refuse to entertain a potential transfer. If Utd. came to us and we told them to do one, it would probably rub him the wrong way, but if we went back to JB and said "Utd. isn't meeting our valuation for you." then at least it shows that the club's willing to cooperate.

Might explain how he's been approached by them for personal terms without too much of a push for the completion of the transfer.
Of course this going on.
Agent has probably seen the contract and said that acceptable.
Everton would have explained the position.
Really the wages and transfer fee should have some correlation on the fee of how much branthwaite is valued by Utd.
If I was him I would be worried that I wouldn’t be 💯 starter unless they were paying the big bucks

To be honest, I wouldn’t accept £35M from them for Tarkowski, never mind Branthwaite
Even Daniel Levy wouldn't start negotiations with an offer that derisory. That has the PR look of, "Well, we wanted to spend, but Everton was unreasonable."

A quick glance at their financials shows total employee spending and amortization of 500 million pounds against revenue of 650 million last year. The employee spending isn't bracketed into players vs. staff, but it seems probable they're bumping up against the new 70% of revenue ceiling next year, and that player wages as reported in the media are low. If not, they're spending over a third of their wage costs on non-playing staff, which is a lot.

I suspect they've finally hit the financial wall, thus proving they're just as vulnerable as us to mismanaging the roster. If anything, it's a more difficult situation, because their big mistakes are even harder to recover something from.

Man U are nowhere close to winning the league for quite a few years. They have some awful players on massive money & are going to need a major rebuild in the next few years. It is not going to be an easy prospect for the genius Sir Jim to turn that ship around. While Utd have been fading other clubs have been improving.
City have a massive set of charges hanging over them and Pep will likely leave at the end of the season. The RS will struggle post Klopp. Chelsea look to be absolutely crazy from top to bottom. Arsenal are definitely on the up. I agree that United need a rebuild but it's not unbelievable to think that that they could achieve that in the next 3 years. It's not like they have our finances. Branthwaite could well be the start of the rebuild. They have some decent youngsters already.

Ultimately I hope we can retain him and if we have to sell him it's not to united especially after their derisory first offer. United fans are as deluded and conscending as a red scum fan, some of my friends are unfortunately united fans and they were trying to be adamant that he wasn't worth over 50 million lol . If so kick rocks you entitled stingy cretins

100% don't sell to United after this.
