Martinez is a left footed CB too.

Unless they know he's never going to be fit, Branthwaite wouldn't be first choice.

De Ligt is a right footed CB which makes sense if they want to replace Maguire and Lindelof

Branthwaite is essentially 2 footed tbh. Wouldn’t worry about him playing either side of central defence.

They want to move both Maguire and Lindelof on and have already let Varrane go I think.
