2024/25 Jarrad Branthwaite

I'd be far more worried about Chelsea coming in for him than Man. United. Look at the state of them again this season.

He's not worse than Levi Colwill at all and Disasi is pretty average imo so worry would be a serious bid from someone like them back in the CL and back to serious title challenges.

I was always relaxed about him staying this season but not sure beyond that, a new stadium dosen't just automatically get a player signing a new deal, they'll want to see what sort of quality will be playing around them aswell and also the style of the next manager.

So they buy Branthwaite and ship out one or two of their injury prone ones.

They could sell Stones yes, he's 30 now which makes me feel old!

Still got all of Ake, Akanji and Dias who are all top quality but all been injured or lost form at the same time. Gvardiol can also play CB but they play him LB so there's plenty of options so can't see them being interested.

I know what you mean about stones making you feel old .

Whenever I feel old I just look at rooney … I remember when he was 16 and I was 21 …

But somehow he has over taken me in time I’m now 43 and he is 55

Well, if the Friedkins can't keep him I think we will need to quickly recalibrate our expectations - because I fully expect huge changes at the club in the summer. They have the funds and PSR will not be the crippling factor it has been then. A top rank new manager and a few quality purchases - along with a nice big fat salary rise for Branthwaite - and one would hope he signs on the dotted line.

All the more reason any mad notion of keeping Dyche is simply nuts.

Might be a bit stronger than he was last year. I remember Haaland bullying him a bit last year but it felt like Branthwaite was more than holding his own this year and was making sure to leave something on Haaland whenever possible.
