2024/25 Jarrad Branthwaite

My thoughts. If we score big in the transfer market, keep. If we suck horribly, sell at the right price. If we add Ndiaye, McNeil and other quality from the window to this side, we are competing in the top half easily. Let's hope we hit the lottery with Chermo and can use him in tandem with Beto who can hopefully keep his progression going. At the end of the day we have to convince him to sign. We won't do that if we don't add quality.

I mean I'm all for being positive etc but uncertain if they're going to be able to turn things round so quickly and be able to convince him of that. If not, cashing in is the best worst option.
Offer him what he's worth and show intent in the market this summer.

After that, all up to him.

If he doesn't fancy that, slap a price on his head that justifies his sale.

Is right Lee.

People have been saying he will inevitably be leaving in the close season for 2 seasons now. He be an Everton player next season unless Real Madrid come calling in the summer. If Ancelotti goes in the summer that would put an end to any chance of them coming in for him for another year at least. That's even if there is any interest from their side at all

Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s his agent who dropped that story to Sky mate and he’s negotiating a new contract here and his agent is trying to create leverage in the press.

Possibly. But been watching sky news on and off tonight and the tripe they are reporting on to fill the time would rot the brain. They are struggling as much as we are with this international break

Personally think being captain of the u21s is better for him right now than being about fifth choice for the senior squad. Even though he's fully deserving of being in or around the senior starting XI.

I thought he was a bit meh last night. Almost gave away a goal due to a lazy back pass. Honestly, his attitude seemed a bit off.

Didn't see the match myself but like some others have said. His performances this season have been a drop off from last season generally speaking. His threat from set pieces in an attacking sense have been almost zero. He has had a number of dodgy moments at the back too.

I thought the home game against Man Utd was probably his best game up to around 70 minutes but even then he dropped off it a bit. I think if I was him, I would be forgetting all the outside noise and forgetting all the England stuff and just focusing on playing well for Everton this season and next and keep improving and see where that takes him. He needs to know that moving clubs the grass isn't always greener anyway. There's not many places better than Everton right now for him particularly considering the new stadium next season and Moyes having money to build a squad.
