If true, it must be Friedkin surely. That would be some statement of intent from the man

ThisIts a combo of will of the player and that ambition mate. But that's were good administration earn their stripes. Other thing is you can flat out just say no here your here until .............if he signs a new deal. Many would say you cant keep an unhappy player - Levy did it with Kane, Fulham did it last year with Paulinha. Brighton did it with Cacedio. It adds +++ pounds.
If nothing else you become an unwilling seller and you should always want to be an unwilling seller.
Its something we will have to overcome if you have genuine ambition and want to progress.
I think we as a club and a fan base have been conditioned into being very passive about it and now have a low threshold for selling our best players - i remember an administration being overturned here partly due to selling Duncan Ferguson.
We have to ask ourselves as a club do we want to act like Palace or Brighton and be a feeder club or do we have actually have a crack at it and act like a top six club. Look at Spurs they dont sell their players to Top 6 clubs anymore.
I'm hearing he may or not play. Not sure I believe it thoughRed Echo saying a late fitness test and maybe starting. Not long til we find out though

McNeil has a right foot???Did McNeil catch the same thing in his right foot and never got it treated?
I didn't realise there was an option to extend, that puts us in a much stronger position .Joyce put that snippet in to his match report v Palace.
Mentioned that we also have an option to extend JB's contract by another year over & above 2027 so any buying club would have to pay handsomely for the privilege if they want to "own" him now or next year or 2026 and possibly even 2027.
Wonder if & when the Friedkins take control they call all the players together and outline their vision for the next 1-3 years?
Mate, outside of footy manager games, release clauses are almost unheard of in this league.
This is Everton we are talking about here mate …
A new contract with a release clause would be the best way forward. If he wants to leave, the buying club needs to pay £80 million. If they won't then he stays. Saves any arguments.
Once you add the £22 million a year salary you're looking at North of £200 million over 5 years.Haarland is willing to extend his City contract provided they insert £100m release clause.
Seems quite low to me tbh
