2024/25 Jarrad Branthwaite

Its certainly not bizarre and it does mean something.

Many, many footballers like to play alongside their team mates for club and country.

In your cartoons maybe they dont?

Which clubs? Lets not forget as you say, theres only a limited number. Those clubs may also not consider him to be a certain starter.

Why would that be a good thing for Everton?
Because we get a price we want and he is tied down to a longer deal, atm his contract is running down.

They don't play football in my cartoons and Branthwaite isn't going to decide to stay at perennial relegation battlers Everton even we we signed two players who sit on England's bench. Keane once played for England remember. Pickford still does. Means nothing at all.

I expected after Shaolin Soccer there'd be a few decent ones by now.

It only benefits the buying club to agree to a release number.

Back on the grass it seems

If he was training on the grass last Saturday after only 10 days out he'll be in contention and probably starting at Ipswich if there's no reaction.
We`ve a bad record of players coming back in contention to be back in the team only for them not to make the match day squad and be told at the last minute it`ll be another week, month, another 2 weeks etc.........

Well he was out there v Palace which aligned with the timeline. Picked up another injury training the Thursday after but luckily looks like that was just a niggle rather than reaction to the summer injury.

DCL was a bit like what you described two years ago but again he's been a regular starter for 18 months.

Can justify Dyche for loads of things he gets wrong but one thing he needs to be trusted on is he does know when to put injured players back in or keep them back for another week or two.

Hope this is the case because I`m more confident with him in the center of defense.
